Still based in Poole Old Town, the business is led by Helen alongside her husband Duncan, a Chartered Surveyor, with the next generation firmly involved in day-to-day operations. Supported by a dedicated local team, we provide a fully managed service with in-house housekeeping and maintenance, ensuring consistently high standards for owners and a welcoming, home-from-home experience for guests — many of whom return year after year.

The history of Quay

Homegrown hospitality

  Founded in 2006 by Helen Challis, Quay Holidays began with just five properties in Poole. Built on Helen’s background in residential property management and a hands-on, detail-driven approach, the business quickly grew through repeat guests and owner recommendations. Today, Quay Holidays is a proudly family-owned and independently run company, managing over 120 carefully selected holiday homes from Poole to Christchurch.  

Payment methods

Credit, debit and American Express cards, sterling bank transfers or cheques all accepted.

Late checkout

Benefit from a late checkout until 12pm when you book direct with us. That gives you an extra two hours to relax and savour your last day away.

WI-FI

Staying in touch is easy with complimentary unlimited WIFI in all our holiday properties.

Linen and towels

Beds made up with crisp white linen for your arrival. Bath and beach towels all provided.

Accessible Properties

Many properties with lift and level access available for those with mobility impairments.

Late arrivals

Late arrivals can be agreed by prior arrangement at no extra cost – just let us know when you plan to arrive!

Parking

Most of our properties offer free parking on-site. Check the property pages for guidance.

Welcome Pack

Complimentary welcome pack on arrival including tea, coffee, hot chocolate, local biscuits, crisps and a chilled bottle of wine.

Meet our Branch Manager Panda and Entertainment Manager Mungo! For anyone that has visited the Quay Holidays office, you may have met this dynamic duo.

Panda loves foraging for sticks and endless cuddles, whilst Mungo likes chasing deer and snuggling up to his toys on the sofa after a long walk!
